Sri Lanka online visitor visa is available through the official website of the Sri Lanka Government. If you are visiting Sri Lanka on a tour, business or as a visitor, check whether your passport needs to be provided with a Sri Lanka visitor visa. Most country people need to have these visas that can be obtained through the online website in their passport for easy entry at the Colombo BIA on their arrival. Some country visitors need to obtain visas but are exempted from paying for it. It is issued for them free of charge. On the other hand, don't arrive at Colombo Airport expecting to get on arrival visas here.
Sri Lanka had given permission for nearly 07 country people to travel visa free to their county. Sri Lanka has announced an extension of its visa free entry for Citizens of India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand until April 30, 2024.

Getting Sri Lanka ETA.
Visit www.eta.gov.lk and receive the acknowledgement.
On the first page "click" on the agree button.
Then on the left side of the page select either
Apply for an Individual, Apply for Group or Apply for a Third Party..
ETA approval will be sent to your email.
Get a print out of the approval.
Provide it to the Immigration officers at the Airport if required.
Select the suitable entry type for you.
Single, Double and multiple entry visas too are available.
Normally the visitor visas are provided for 30 days only with double entry.
A visitor wishing to stay more than 30 days in Srilanka, may apply for a visa extension. The Short Visit visa may be extended up to 90 days from the date of arrival at the first instance and further 90 days at the second instance. (For example, American passport holders can extend their visas further by paying US$ 100). You must extend the visa before it expires. Expired visas can't be extended in Colombo.
Application for an extension should be submitted to the Visa Section of the Department of Immigration (head office) located at Battaramulla by visiting the Department or through an Authorized Agent.
